SOMETHING IS MISSING!
...LOVE AND LIGHT
Photos! Medgidia, Romania...

Images from May/June 2011 - Medgidia, Romania

Above: We joined Fundatia Portii Deschise to take LUMINA to an old stadium where we had games, worship, and a picnic to celebrate National Childrens Day in Romania. It is considered a special occassion, and some kids wore their "Sunday best".

Three photos below:  Beti of Fundatia Portii Deschise hands out juice to some of the families at Mamut Bei, a remote neighborhood they are reaching.  The families were really excited to have visitors! We also joined Beti and her husband Hardi in a visit to reach families at Casa Ciabanului (two subsequent photos).

Below at Siloz neighborhood: Nora, Budaca and Elena (left to right).  Elena has a deep love to reach lonely elderly ladies.  She was very excited to lead Budaca to the arms of Christ and to add her to her group of women she loves, prays for and feeds.

Below, Budaca's "kitchen" - now Elena will be delivering her love... and meals!

Below: a house visit to Siloz, one of the neighborhoods where we go house-to-house to visit and pray.

Above:  These four girls in the Golgota/Baracii neighborhood just accepted Christ as their Savior...then dressed up for a photo shoot.  Their prayer requests were for health, protection, and provision.

Above: What else but a popcorn ball party in between shack-to-shack visits at the Baracii neighborhood.  The vendor on the left needs prayer as he lost one kidney to cancer and has cancer in the other one.  His wife, Aurica, also needs healing prayer for a serious heart condition.  They were selling popcorn balls to earn money for health care.  We bought out the popcorn balls but I think there are a few candied apples left!

Above and below: About 40 kids we really excited at the opportunity to join Cindy (Stepping Stones Missions) and her team to attend a puppet show at Yeni Yasam (a Turkish church) on National Children's Day.  Cindy leads a day program there as well as at Golgota, a Romany church. The staff at Yeni Yasam provided every kid with a generous gift package. Exciting!

Below, kids at Siloz welcome our house visit.
Above: Evidence that ice cream is a universal treat!  This little cutie stays at the dumpster all day with her family.

Above:  Bad hair day....but a GOOD hug day! (at Siloz)
Above: Siloz welcoming committee!
Below:  We had a fun pizza party at the Project Romanian Rescue Girls Home (Casa Chara).  The girls enjoyed their princess paint sets and almost had Sherri pursuaded to stay, there is so much love there!

Below, Elena helps Maria adjust her "batik".  Last year we sponsored eye surgery for Maria, and Elena provided care for her.  She "saw" me for the first time and was just giddy about having company.

Above:  Kids are mesmerized by the puppet show at Yeni Yesam on National Children's Day.  I've never seen them so quiet!
Below: Who could resist visiting these little sweeties?  They are holding a photo we took of them last year and delivered this trip.  The girl on the left's twin became ill and died several years ago, but she has certainly found a new pal.

La Revedere! (Goodbye!)
